The latest agreement between Washington and Beijing calls for more favorable tariff treatment on billions of dollars in goods, with toys, car seats, holiday decorations, and small appliances among the categories expected to benefit.

This weekend, following a three-day summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, the White House outlined a new trade agreement that could provide tariff relief for several consumer product categories, including toys.

Through the U.S.-China Board of Trade, the countries reached a consensus on recommendations for “more favorable tariff treatment for $30 billion of non-sensitive goods in each direction.”

For U.S. imports, the affected categories include toys, children’s car seats, holiday decorations, and small appliances. The broader agreement also covers energy and agricultural purchases.
